Club Rules
2021 Rules + Procedures:

The Westchester Department of Health pool guidelines are available here for your reference. If you are not feeling well, believe you are infected or contagious, please do not visit the Club; stay home and self-quarantine. If you become sick within 14 days of being at the club you must notify manager@tarrycrest.org Social distancing – per current NYS regulation, please maintain adequate distance between yourself and others outside of your family (6 feet) both in and out of the pool. Face coverings (masks) - everyone over 2 years old must have a face-covering when entering and exiting the club, and in the bathroom. Wear your mask as necessary when you are unable to be 6 feet apart. Masks will NOT be worn in the water. If possible, please bring your own disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. No one should congregate in the water or on the pool deck. Our staff will be assisting with this effort. There is danger of exposure to COVID-19. By entering the Club, you assume responsibility for the potential effects of this exposure.

Capacity

We are limited in capacity in the pools. How this breaks down: Main pool no more than 101 people--77 in shallow end, 22 in middle portion and 2 in deep end for diving board and water slide. If we hit capacity we will close the diving board and water slide which will allow another 37 people in the deep end, for a total of 138. The stairs need to be kept clear so people can enter and exit with enough space. Kiddie pool no more than 27 people (kids and their adult caregivers) Grounds - fortunately we have plenty of room so as long as we spread out this should not be a problem. We will continue to have adult swim for 15 minutes each hour, which will clear the pool. During adult swim, kids should not sit on the side of the pool, and kids over 6 can not go into the kiddie pool. The Manager on duty will do a head count every 30 minutes and if the pool reaches capacity people will have to wait to enter. If needed, we will do 30 minute shifts in the pools, and will expect all kids and adults to comply and take turns.

Arrivals and Departures:

We will not be issuing ID cards as we don’t want anyone handling them. Check in with the attendant at the gate house from behind the line with a mask on. They will ask for names, bond numbers, and verification information every time anyone enters. This may take extra time so please be patient and spread out when waiting. Only immediate family may be brought as guests at this time. In an effort to accommodate senior members, many of whom would be alone or only maintain their membership to bring children and grandchildren, we are allowing “vertical” family guests, i.e. children, grandchildren, and/or parents (no siblings, cousins, etc.) With our capacity reduced in the pools we want to ensure that members have access as the priority. If we find capacity is not a problem, or restrictions change, we may adjust the guest policy. Registered non-transferable babysitter members will be permitted. Adult supervision will be key to keeping us compliant with social distancing therefore no kids under 12 are allowed without an adult. One adult member can be responsible for multiple kids, and must be on the premises during their entire visit.

Activities and Facilities:

Bathrooms will be one family or two people in at one time. There will be no showers and we ask that changing rooms be avoided so bathroom facilities are available. Masks must be worn. An attendant will monitor the number of people in the bathrooms and ask others to wait outside. Early morning lap swimming will be available Tues + Thurs. 7:00-9:00 a.m. and lap swimming will be available every day 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Staff can help with social distancing guidance for lap swim when needed, and we will implement a reservation system if needed. The diving board and slide will be open and social distance must be observed in line. The Snack Bar will be open and operating under their own Health Department approved safety plan. Please sanitize hands and observe social distancing in line. The playground will be open. We will not be sanitizing the equipment. Tables and chairs have been set up at an appropriate distance and they are not to be moved. Chairs and tables will be cleaned once a day. Bring your own disinfecting wipes if you would like to sanitize before sitting down. There can be no shared equipment so no chess, shuffleboard, or ping pong will be provided. You may bring your own equipment. A basketball for the pool will be available since the chlorinated water sanitizes. Northern Westchester Swim Conference has cancelled the swim season so there will be no swim team this summer. Private swim lessons will be available, and pricing can be found on our website. Be extra vigilant about cleaning up after yourself as we do not want lifeguards to handle trash left behind.

All rules, guidelines and procedures are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the Board. Modifications will be made as needed. Violations will be taken seriously and access to the club will be removed without refund

Pool Rules

Tennis Rules

The following Club rules and regulations are in accordance with Club Objectives; In compliance with standards set by the Westchester County Department of Health; For the protection and benefit of all Members; To assure safe, sanitary operations of the Club, and; To guarantee fair, equitable use of the tennis courts.

Parents are requested to caution children to observe all rules and obey instructions of the Club Manager and Staff. Particular attention should be paid to proper treatment of the Club's property, such as chairs, tables and ping-pong equipment. In addition, parents are required to supervise their children especially in the restrooms and playground area. Mistreatment ultimately results in the otherwise unnecessary expenditure of members' dues.

The Pool and Snack Bar are operated under permits issued by the Westchester County Department of Health whose standards must be maintained.

Please drive slowly through the Crest neighborhood when coming to and from the pool.
